Fighting for Life: Every Moment Counts. An educational DVD on how patients struggle to get medications to treat rare cancers.

Lighthouse was commissioned to do the post-production for an interactive DVD on the sensitive subject of terminal cancer and the battle to get funding for expensive treatments that could extend life. With the end client being a major multi-national pharmaceutical company, the aim of the DVD was to educate and consequently influence those involved in the funding decision-making process.

The theme was that ‘every moment counts’ when it comes to extending life, and we designed a moving opening sequence and section titles to create a sympathetic mood and to reinforce the idea that extra life, however short, can be meaningful, whatever your age.

To give a professional and consistent look to the programme, we also designed stylish animated backgrounds and captions for all the interviewees.

Lighthouse was also responsible for creating the interactive menus and authoring of the final DVD.
